The short version: ThoughtTots does not collect, store, or share any personal information. Everything you enter into the app — favorites, custom questions, family names, streaks, and settings — stays on your own device. Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else.

What information we collect

None. ThoughtTots does not require an account, does not use analytics or tracking tools, and does not display advertising. We do not know who uses the app, how often, or in what way — because nothing about your usage is ever transmitted to us.

What stays on your device

To make the app useful across sessions, it saves certain information directly on your phone or browser, using standard on-device storage:

Cards you've marked as favorites
Custom questions you've written and added
Names you've entered for family members (used for the optional Silly Points feature)
Your streak count and Silly Points totals, if those optional features are turned on
Your theme preference (light or dark) and category selections

This data never leaves your device. We have no server that receives it, no database that stores it, and no way to see it. If you clear your browser data, uninstall the app, or use a privacy tool that wipes local storage, this information is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered by us — because we never had it.

Children's privacy

ThoughtTots is designed to be used by children together with a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Because the app collects no personal information from any user of any age, it does not raise the concerns that data-collection practices are meant to address.

In-app purchases

ThoughtTots does not currently process any real payments. The in-app unlock option is a local, non-functional placeholder used for development and testing only — no transaction occurs, and no payment information is collected or transmitted. If real in-app purchases are introduced in the future, this policy will be updated first to name the payment processor used and link to its privacy policy.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes — for example, when in-app purchases are added — we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
